Nvidia, Horizon Robotics account for 80% of self-driving chips enabling NOA in China
China-based autonomous driving chip developer Horizon Robotics is showcasing solutions for smart driving and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) powered by its Journey chip series at IAA Mobility 2023. The company said deliveries of the Journey chips are approaching four million units.

Huawei has reportedly increased Mate 60 Pro output to 15 million units
Huawei's Mate 60 series of smartphones have hit the shelves of all e-commerce channels as well as Huawei's official website and stores in China on September 3. Orders from Huawei for producing Mate 60 Pro have reportedly reached 15–17 million units, and adding the other Mate 60 series of products, the volume can reach up to 20 million, according to sources. But Huawei did not comment on this.

TechInsights confirms Huawei's SoC made by SMIC N+2 7nm node
TechInsights' latest report pointed out that its lab in Ottawa, Canada, has confirmed that the SoC of Huawei's Mate 60 Pro smartphone was manufactured by SMIC's N+2 7nm process node. It is an upgraded version of the N+1 pseudo 7nm process node by which the MinerVa bitcoin miner chip was made. TechInsights was the first to discover SMIC's advanced processing effort, by confirming the SMIC N+1 node in MinerVa chip in July 2022.

Nextin invests US$200M to produce wafer inspection tools in China
Nextin, a semiconductor inspection solution provider based in South Korea, decided to invest US$200 million to set up operations in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, to expand its China market share and meet the robust demand from the local semiconductor industry. LG Magna e-Powertrain to build first European production facility in Hungary
